After an insanely rocky and tumultuous pregnancy that resulted in angry-face emojis, unfollows, DM meltdowns and lots of appearances on the Shade Room, former “Basketball Wives L.A.” star Draya Michele and her on-again-off-again-on-again-off-again baby daddy, NFL player Orlando Scandrick, welcomed their son Jru (pronounced “Drew”) into the world last Friday (Apr 8).
Here are the deets via People:
Michele delivered her baby boy, whose name is pronounced “Drew,” naturally. He weighed 6.5 lbs., and measured 20 inches long.
Already mom to 13-year-old son Kniko, this is Michele’s first child with Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick, who is also dad to twin daughters Taylor and Tatiana.
“We are super excited to add our sixth member to the family,” Michele tells PEOPLE. “He’s such a good, healthy baby and everyone is already infatuated with him. His brother and sisters are in love.”
I need to understand how and why they named this sweet, innocent baby boy “DREW” but decided to spell it “Jru.”
Are Draya and Orlando illiterate? Do they hate vowels in the right places? Do they intentionally want to increase this child’s burden, even though he will already be burdened beyond reason with their unstable, deranged, unhinged relationship to contend with?
Moving on from that dreadful name, apparently Beyoncé’s twerkin’, poppin’ hit song “Check On It” may have been partially responsible for Draya’s water breaking.
The former video vixen posted a short clip on Instagram of herself jiggling to Bey’s jam during yet ANOTHER maternity photo shoot.
Five hours later, she was giving birth to baby Jru. This coincidence inspired Draya to name Beyoncé the child’s “fairy godmother.”
There’s no such thing as too much @beyonce in one day, unless you’re pushing 9 months pregnant. I Def went into labor exactly 5 hours after this…….so with that being said, @beyonce you are Jru’s fairy godmother. Thanks
No word yet from Beyonce on if she accepts this highly esteemed title from Draya. My guess is she has better shit to do than cluck cluck with riff raff and street trash like Draya ‘n’ ’em.
But you never know when Bey’s feeling charitable and kind so she might send Draya a set of booties and a rattle or something.
