ABC has canceled its “Roseanne” reboot after Roseanne Barr called an Obama adviser the product of “muslim brotherhood and planet of the apes” on Twitter.
“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said Tuesday (May 29).
Bob Iger, the Chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company, ABC’s parent company, tweeted out Dungey’s statement, and added “There was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing.”
The news comes hours after Barr tweeted a racist comment about former White House adviser Valerie Jarrett Tuesday morning. The now-deleted tweet read, “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj.”
Barr tried to apologize by dismissing the comment as a “joke” and announced that she was leaving Twitter, but it was too late by then.
“Forgive me, my joke was in bad taste,” she said. “I should have known better.”
Before ABC’s cancellation announcement, Wanda Sykes—a producer on the show—said that she would be leaving as a direct result of the racist tweet. According to TMZ, Wanda and Valerie are friends.
Sara Gilbert, Roseanne’s TV daughter, tweeted just before ABC’s announcement,, “Roseanne’s recent comments about Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show. I am disappointed in her actions to say the least.”
She added, “This is incredibly sad and difficult for all of us, as we’ve created a show that we believe in, are proud of, and that audiences love—one that is separate and apart from the opinions and words of one cast member.”

Tommie showed her whole entire A-S-S on last night’s episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, leaving many fans of the show wondering whether or not she was fired.
Viewers watched as Tommie’s alcoholism reared its ugly head and she had an insane meltdown in one of the most explosive moments in the show’s entire 6-year history. I mean, we’ve seen Joseline go crazy, but this was a whole ‘nother level of crazy that made Joseline’s antics look tame compared to Tommie’s
It all started when Rasheeda wanted her girlfriends to fly out with her to Houston for the grand opening of her new Pressed store. But this won’t be your ordinary trip, Rasheeda says, because she plans to take the ladies (and some of the men) to a dude ranch while they’re there. How fun!
Spice made it a point to mention that she’s down for the turn-up, as long as Rasheeda doesn’t invite Tommie’s pig—a direct shot at Tommie for being “TREE HOWAS LATE” to their video shoot, which caused her to have to cancel their launch party due to Tommie’s negligence. This obviously didn’t go over well with Tommie, who was drunk as a skunk by then, and she didn’t appreciate Spice trying her (and her pig) like that.
When Spice tries to explain to Tommie why she’s upset with her, Tommie starts laughing in her face, which pisses Spice off and creates one helluva awkward moment for everyone one set. Then Tommie herself gets pissed off when a producer in the background tires to get her to change the subject why telling her to “tell them about Scrapp.” And from then on, Tommie went into full meltdown mode and went all the way AWF on the show’s production.
Tommie’s bizarre behavior culminated when she started yelling out insults that made absolutely zero sense, but you could hear her saying she was going to “shut y’all whole house down because you know I know where y’all live at” and how she’s “gotta go to jail tonight.” (Sidenote: Tommie did, in fact, go to jail that night after turning herself in for that mall employee beatdown situation).
At this point, everyone’s looking at Tommie like…
After security finally escorts her out, viewers were treated to on-screen text that read: “As Tommie was escorted out, she became increasingly agitated. She tried to return to confront Spice, and was stopped by security.” They weren’t able to capture video footage, but they did get the audio as she tried to rush back on set to “confront” Spice. The whole thing was just a big ol’ mess, and producers had basically wiped their hands of Tommie at this point.
Later, after everyone gets to Houston, the episode concludes with LHHATL executive producer Stephanie Gayle announcing to the cast that production has made the decision to no longer film with Tommie due to her erratic behavior fueled by her alcohol abuse. Without going into too much detail, Stephanie explained that Tommie had been breaking a lot of the rules, including attacking security, and production generally just wants to help her… off-camera, of course.
And with that, folks are now wondering about Tommie’s future on the show. Was she fired or is she just taking a temporary leave of absence? Based on Stephanie’s explanation, it doesn’t sound like she was given the boot COMPLETELY, but it does seem like she’s treading on thin ice, meaning that if she continues to act this way, she’ll be out of a job.
As you all may or may not know, a judge has ordered Tommie to wear an alcohol monitoring device in lieu of going to jail. According to TMZ, the device—which costs about $500 from Tommie’s pockets—detects whether or not any alcohol is in Tommie’s system through her sweat every 30 minutes.
A number of photos Tommie recently posted on Instagram shows that she’s wearing the device right now, so, fingers crossed, she’s learning how to cope with life’s ups and downs WITHOUT having to turn to a bottle.
After the Golden State Warriors defeated the Rockets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals in Houston, Draymond Green’s adorable 4-month-old son, Draymond Jr., stole the show at the post-game trophy ceremony.
The first half of Game 7 was a struggle for the Warriors, but Golden State got their sh*t together in the second half, outscoring the Rockets 33-15 in the third quarter.
Golden State ended up closing out the game 101-92 to claim the Western Conference title for the fourth straight year. They’ll face Cleveland—also for the fourth year in a row—in the 2018 NBA Finals. Game 1 will be hosted in Oakland.
A Malian immigrant is being compared to the Marvel superhero “Spiderman” after he heroically scaled the outside of a building in Paris to save a 4-year-old child dangling from the balcony four stories up.
22-year-old Mamadou Gassama can be seen in amateur video footage being cheered on by spectators as he used his strength to pull himself up from balcony-to-balcony to the building’s fourth floor, where the child was dangerously hanging. Gassama’s stunning display of heroism lasted a total of 30 seconds.
Following Gassama’s heroic feet, he met with French President Emmanuel Macron, who said Gassama would be granted citizenship to the country.
Here’s what you need to know about Mamadou Gassama and his heroic act:
Mamoudou Gassama is from Malia, a country in West Africa, and moved to France in September 2017.
Mamadou Gassama, 22, is a migrant from Mali—a troubled former French colony in northwest Africa.
Gassama traveled through Burkina Faso, Niger and Libya before crossing the Mediterranean Sea to Italy. He arrived in France in September 2017 as an undocumented immigrant.
He currently lives in a hostel for immigrants.
Mamoudou Gassama met with French President Emmanuel Macron, who said he would be granting Mamoudou citizenship to France.
After heroically saving the unidentified 4-year-old boy from falling four stories from a balcony, Mamoudou Gassama sat down with French President Emmanuel Macron.
During the meeting, which was live streamed Monday (May 28) on the president’s Facebook page, Macron gave Gassama a medal for bravery. Macron also informed Gassama that he would be made a French citizen and would also be offered a place in the fire brigade. Gassama also received a certificate of courage and dedication signed by Paris Police Prefect Michel Delpuech.
“All the (Gassama’s) documents will be put in order,” Macron told the 22-year-old, referring to his immigration status. “I’m pleased because it’s the first time I’ve received a trophy like that,” Gassama told Macron.
Mamoudou Gassama said he “didn’t have time to think” when he sprung into action to save the child dangling from the fourth-story balcony of a building.
Mamoudou Gassama said he was just walking by the apartment building when he noticed a crowd gathered in front, and without thinking, he quickly sprung into action in an effort to save the child, completely disregarding his own safety.
Gassama told French President Emmanuel Macron, “I just didn’t have time to think, I ran across the road to go and save him. I just climbed up and thank God, God helped me. The more I climbed the more I had the courage to climb up higher, that’s it.”
By the time firefighters arrived at the scene, they found out the child had already been rescued. If it weren’t for Gassama, the child would have likely fallen and met a tragic fate. “Luckily, there was someone who was physically fit and who had the courage to go and get the child,” a spokesperson for the fire department said.
Video footage of the rescue shows Gassama pulling himself up from balcony-to-balcony with his bare hands as a man on the fourth floor desperately tries to hold on to the child by leaning across from a neighboring balcony. One witness told Le Parisien, “There is a fence and a gap between them… The neighbor could not afford to lean back to get the child himself.”
After reaching the fourth floor, Gassama hiked his leg over the balcony before reaching out with his right arm and grabbing the child. After all was said and done, the only injury the boy suffered was a torn toenail, while Gassama only suffered a few scratches.
“I saw all these people shouting, and cars sounding their horns. I climbed up like that and, thank God, I saved the child,” Gassamt told French reporters. “I felt afraid when I saved the child… (when) we went into the living room, I started to shake, I could hardly stand up, I had to sit down.”
Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo praised the young migrant on Twitter for his “act of bravery.” She also reportedly called him personally to “thank him warmly.”
Mayor Hidalgo said, “He explained to me that he had arrived from Mali a few months ago dreaming of building his life here. I told him that his heroic act is an example to all citizens and that the city of Paris will obviously be very keen to support him in his efforts to settle in France.”
The child’s parents weren’t at home at the time of the incident, and police are investigating the situation.
According to local authorities, the boy’s parents weren’t at home at the time of the incident, and the father has been questioned by police on suspicion of leaving his child unattended. Officials believe the mother was not in Paris the day of the incident.
Mamoudou Gassama is being compared to Lassana Bathily, a Malian immigrant who helped save lives during a January 2015 terror attack in France.
Mamoudou Gassama’s story of heroism has drawn comparisons to another Malian immigrant who was hailed as a hero for helping save lives during a January 2015 terror attack in France.
Lassan Bathily helped hide six hostages (including a baby) in a freezer during the Islamist Jihadi attack on a Jewish supermarket in Paris that killed four people. Like Gassama, Bathily was also given French citizenship for his heroic efforts.
Bathily wrote a book in 2016 called “Je ne suis pas un heros” (I am no hero) and created a charity whose first project was to provide fresh water and electricity for his home village in Western Mali.

Amateur video footage shows 22-year-old Mamadou Gassama being cheered on by spectators as he, in a stunning display of heroism, pulled himself up from balcony-to-balcony to the building’s fourth floor, where the child was dangerously hanging. And it only took him 30 seconds!
The video has since gone viral across all social media platforms, including Twitter, where one video has more than 7 million views, nearly 5,000 retweets, and over 10,000 likes. Another version of the video uploaded to Facebook has 12M views, 286K shares and 62K reactions.
Since his heroic feat, Gassama has been given the nickname “Spiderman” and met with French President Emmanuel Macron, who said Gassama—a Malian immigrant—would be granted citizenship to the country.
Gassama said he was just walking by when he saw a crowd gathered in front of the building. Without thinking, he quickly sprung into action in an effort to save the child. The more I climbed the more I had the courage to climb up higher, that’s it.”
He said that the boy was crying when he pulled him to safety and had also suffered an injured foot, which is a blessing considering the alternative. By the time firefighters arrived at the scene, they found out the child had already been rescued. “Luckily, there was someone who was physically fit and who had the courage to go and get the child,” a spokesperson said.
According to local authorities, the boy’s parents weren’t at home at the time, and the father has been questioned by police on suspicion of leaving his child unattended. Officials believe the mother was not in Paris at the time of the incident.
Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo was among many who praised the 22-year-old’s brave act, calling him an “example for all citizens.” She also called him as the “Spiderman of the 18th,” referring to the district where the rescue took place.
The Houston Rockets will not have one of their starting players tonight when they take on the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the Western Conference NBA Finals. Chris Paul will be out for the game as he is currently suffering from a hamstring injury.
Coach Mike D’Antoni broke the news in a press conference Monday evening (May 28) just an hour-and-a-half before the game in Houston, saying “there was just now way” Paul would be able to play tonight.
Paul also missed the Rockets’ 86-115 loss to the Warriors in Game 6 Saturday in Oakland. Paul was average 21.1 points and 5.8 assists per game in the playoffs this year.
CP3 was one of the Rockets’ star players in their past two wins, average 23.5 points in those games and was a key player in helping them comeback in the fourth quarter of Game 4, which they won by three points: 95-92.
Unless James Harden can pull something big off by himself, without Chris Paul, Houston will most likely lose to Golden State, meaning that the 2018 Finals will probably be GSW vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers—their fourth matchup in a row.

Chicago rapper Mubu Krump is dead after being shot in a drive-by shooting over the weekend.
According to a number of online reports, Krump—a member of King Louie’s MUBU camp—was standing in front of his house in the 6800 block South Morgan Street in the South Side area of Chicago late Thursday night/Friday morning (May 24-25) when shots were fired from a car driving by.
The 32-year-old was reportedly attending a party at the time of the shooting. Reports say he was shot twice in the arm and twice in the torso. He was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A photo is being passed around on social media presumably showing Krump right after he was shot:
Another man, rumored to be 051 Melly, was shot alongside Krump and is said to be currently in the hospital with serious injuries. He reportedly suffered five gunshot wounds to his left arm and was grazed in the head.
Mubu was known for his feuds with Lil Durk, Lil Reese and a number of other Chicago rappers, and was a frequent participant in a number of Twitter beefs back in 2013-2015. He made headlines in January 2016 after sucker punching Lil Durk at a Chicago Mall.
Family, friends, and fans have taken to social media to mourn Mubu Krump’s passing:

The word on the curb is that Kenya Moore has been fired from Real Housewives of Atlanta and will not be returning to the show’s 11th season as a peach-holding cast member.
According to our friends over at Straight From the A, Moore was officially given the boot last week when letters were sent out inviting cast members to a meeting, and she didn’t receive an invite.
Kenya’s lie was outed about a week ago, when season 11 peach holders and friends assembled for a mandatory cast meeting. Moore was not in attendance and when asked about her absence, it was confirmed that she wasn’t invited back.
I’ve heard that Kenya may possibly be relegated to “friend” status, but her pride probably won’t allow that.
Maybe Kenya and her husband are planning to finance a show of their own… who knows? But as of today’s date, she doesn’t have a peach and is not scheduled to return to the show for season 11.
The confirmed peach holders for next season are Cynthia Bailey, Nene Leakes, Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams. That leaves two peaches up for grabs and Eva Marcille will most likely be one of them.
We also have “friends” Marlo Hampton and Shamea Morton. There is also a need for newbies, and I know for a fact that at least three women are being tested.
I predict that there will be quite a shake up for season 11 since 10 was such a snoozer. Stay tuned.
The reason why Kena Moore was fired hasn’t been revealed, but we can probably assume it has something to do with her allegedly faking her pregnancy.
Kenya’s Instagram followers called her out a couple of weeks ago when she posted a photo of her and her “husband” Marc Daly at Top Golf that A.) did NOT show a baby bump and B.) showed her Marc not wearing his wedding ring. Her reasoning for him not having his wedding ring was because “he can’t swing the club with it.”
A few commenters asked Moore about her pregnancy and wondered why she wasn’t showing, despite her “confirming” that she was pregnant at the RHOA Season 10 reunion, which was filmed more than two months ago.
“I thought you were pregnant? Oh I get it #TryingToStayRelevant,” one fan asked. “Where’s the baby bump? Maybe surrogate???” asked another.
Kenya has said that she’s not using a surrogate this time around, but “maybe [her] next one”—if she is actually pregnant, that is.
Jacquees posed for this mugshot early Thursday morning (May 24) after he was arrested in Atlanta after police caught him with drugs and speeding down the highway in his 2007 Bentley Continental.
According to police, the singer was pulled over around 3 a.m. Thursday after an officer clocked him going 116mph on I-85. As he was being pulled over, the officer who initiated the traffic stop witnessed someone in Jacquees’ Bentley tossing drugs out the window. Police said they recovered about three grams of marijuana.
“The vehicle pulled to the shoulder but continued rolling a short distance,” Atlanta police spokesman Officer Lisa Bender told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “While it was rolling, the officer observed an item be thrown out of the passenger window.”
Police said Jacquees (real name: Rodriquez Broadnax) admitted to the arresting officer he tried to get rid of the weed. Jacquees was cuffed and charged with speeding, reckless driving, littering and possession of a controlled substance. His passenger, 23-year-old Satanesha Boutwell, was also arrested on a possession charge.
“A search of the vehicle uncovered more marijuana in possession of the passenger,” Officer Bender said.
Jacquees and his passenger were released from the Atlanta City Detention Center Thursday on signature bonds.
This is the third time Jacquees has been arrested this year alone. Back in March, the singer was arrested in Miami for driving in his Lamborghini without a seatbelt, and he was briefly detained at an airport in Milwaukee a couple weeks ago after he got into an argument with someone, and then allegedly told a police officer he was “just a white boy with a badge.”
