Texas Man Charged With 4 Counts of Murder After Shooting & Killing His Roommates

A Texas man is facing multiple murder charges after killing his roommates.

22-year-old Lively James Stratton from Beaumont was arrested on Sunday (Sept. 29) for shooting four men to death.

Here are some things to know about Stratton and the heinous crime he committed:

One of Lively James Stratton’s roommates identified him as the shooter shortly before dying.

According to 12News, officers responded to shots being fired at a duplex in the 4100 block of Highland.

When they arrived at the scene, they found two men shot to death and two other men in critical condition.

Before dying, one of the men was able to communicate with authorities that 22-year-old Lively James Stratton was the shooter.

Stratton lived at the home with all four men and was named on the lease. He was arrested on Sunday (Sept. 29) in connection with the murders.

Beaumont Police Department Officer Carol Riley released the following statement about the shooting:

“We are sorry for the loss. I know this is really hard on a community that’s been rocked with so much devastation during Tropical Storm Imelda and the loss of four lives in our community is just more than I can even console you with. There’s just no words.”

The four victims were ID’d as 39-year-old Bobby Wyatt, 23-year-old Shannon Sutton, 32-year-old Alvin Lee Bellard, and 33-year-old and Elijah Rideau.

Shannon Sutton and Alvin Lee Bellard were pronounced dead at the scene, while Bobby Wyatt and Elijah Rideau were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital where they later died.

Rideau is said to have been the roommate who told authorities Stratton opened fire on them. He revealed this shortly before dying.

Stratton reportedly killed his roommates over an argument.

According to reports, Lively Stratton shot and killed the four men over an altercation that occurred earlier that day.

Witnesses told police that Stratton had been threatening the men in the apartment and even some witnesses at the scene.

So far, authorities have not released any information on what the threats were over.

Call logs also show that police were no stranger to the home and had previously been out there 9 times before the shooting.

The calls include reports of shots being fired, disturbances and thefts, the most recent call being a shooting that took place on October 5th, 2018.

Stratton is facing four murder charges and is being held on $4 million bail.

Lively Stratton was arrested and charged with four counts of murder.

He is currently locked up at the Jefferson County Jail and his bond has been set at $4 million.

It is unknown if Stratton has legal representation.

The family of Shannon Sutton, the youngest victim in the shooting, says his birthday was just days away, and he leaves behind a 3-year-old daughter.

23-year-old Shannon Sutton, who was among the other three men killed in the shooting, was supposed to celebrate his 24th birthday on Thursday, October 3rd.

His mother Roslyn Sutton told 12News that she is deeply hurt over her son’s untimely death. “He’s not here. I’m just so hurt,” Sutton said.

Shannon’s sister, Nagee Sutton, said when she heard the news about the shooting, she had hoped her brother was not at the home at the time.

“Like right now, he would probably want to see me smiling, but it hurts cause he is not here. He was young,” she told 12News.

“When they said it might have looked like a body like him, my heart dropped because he didn’t answer the phone. And when they came out and told me, I just kept thinking he wasn’t there but he was there.”

Shannon’s mother also revealed that her son leaves behind a daughter.

“She is just 3 years old. My son didn’t get a chance to see her grow up. It’s just hard, It’s just hard,” said Roslyn Sutton.

Adele Rumored to be Dating British Rapper Skepta & Twitter Has Fun With Unexpected Pairing

Newly single Adele apparently had a craving for some chocolate. The singer has a new boo and we can honestly say we did not see this one coming.

According to UK publication, The Sun, Adele is rumored to be dating British rapper Skepta.

Nothing is official, but friends of the musicians believe that things are heating up pretty quickly. The two have been friends for a few years and have recently gone on several dates.

Adele, 31, celebrated Skepta’s 37th birthday with him at the Crystal Maze Experience in London a few weeks ago.

A source tells The Sun Adele and Skepta have a “close bond” and a “special connection.”

The source revealed:

“Adele and Skepta have been there for each other a lot after both their relationships split up. They have a close bond and there’s definitely a special connection.

“They’re spending more and more time together. Some of their friends are hoping and predicting they could end up being a great couple one day.”

Twitter was definitely surprised to learn about the unexpected rumored couple and had several jokes.

However, Adele and Skepta actually have more in common than we may think. They each grew up in the same London district, Tottenham.

And they each have one child. Adele has a 6-year-old son and Skepta became a father last year.

“They are both private about their love lives and they are both committed to their children first and foremost as well,” The Sun‘s source added.

Skepta’s friendship with Adele dates back to at least 2016.

“Adele texts me all the time and keeps me in check. She speaks to me about how things are going,” he said in an interview of that year with ES Magazine.

A few months later, he revealed that a social media shout out from his Tottenham sister inspired him to continue with music.

“She gassed me up. One day I was just chilling and she [tweeted] a picture that said ‘Tottenham boy’…I was actually going to quit music that day, that was one of the sickest things ever. She’s like the lady of Tottenham.”

Adele—who keeps her personal/love life private—officially filed for divorce from philanthropist Simon Konecki earlier this month. The couple split back in April after a seven-year relationship.

Skepta previously dated Naomi Campbell.

Lizzo Shaded Iggy Azalea on Twitter and Iggy Shaded Her Right Back

One of the breakout stars of 2019 is undoubtedly Lizzo. The rapper/singer has absolutely dominated headlines, award shows and now Billboard Charts with her smash hit “Truth Hurts.”

The song is currently #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been for the last five weeks. If it continues its winning streak for two more weeks, it will officially become the longest charting #1 song by a female rapper.

Lizzo took to her tweets to rally her troops around this potentially record-breaking opportunity and pointed out that “Fancy” currently holds the record:

If you’re wondering to yourself, isn’t “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea? The answer is yes.

People took her lack of mentioning Iggy to be shade, and when Lizzo clarified that she in no way, shape or form dislikes “Fancy,” she further shaded Iggy by leaving her completely out as if that wasn’t her damn song. Instead Lizzo shouted out Iggy’s collaborator Charli XCX.

Iggy caught wind of the shade and quickly took to Twitter to confirm if she was being shaded by Lizzo.

Cowardly Iggy has since deleted this tweet, and she claims that she was “just joking” and playfully trolling Lizzo, but I don’t believe her, she needs more people.

Her tweet after this encouraged people to stream Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello’s “Señorita” to prevent Lizzo’s winning streak from continuing.

Nah, B! If it was a joke, Iggy wouldn’t have deleted the tweet.

But because Iggy doesn’t want to admit she felt shaded or slighted, she’s playing the part of the class clown and acting like nothing bothers her.

This is why people can’t stand her. She had every reason to take Lizzo’s post for the light shade it was. And either clap back, as she initially did and STAND BY IT, or don’t engage if you don’t want blogs (like us!) to do write-ups like this about your supposed beef with Lizzo.

Iggy’s been roasted too many damn times on the internet to feign like she doesn’t know how this works.

Lizzo, meanwhile, has paid no mind to Iggy’s antics and is instead promoting her latest sponsorship with Absolut vodka:

That’s right, Lizzo! Collect coins, not retweets.

Former Dallas Cop Amber Guyger Found Guilty of Murder in Fatal Shooting of Botham Jean

Amber Guyger, the White former Dallas police officer who shot and killed a Black man named Botham Jean in his own apartment has been found GUILTY of murder.

Guyger, 31, said she thought she was in her own apartment and mistook 26-year-old Jean as an intruder when she shot him on September 6th, 2018 … however, Jean was in his apartment, minding his own business at the time.

The guilty verdict comes after jurors began deliberations on Monday (Sep. 30) following a week-long trial. The decision reportedly took just hours.

The murder conviction carries a sentence of five years to life in prison.

Botham Jean would have celebrated his 28th birthday on Sunday (Sep. 29).

Loud cheers erupted in the courtroom after the judge read out the jury’s guilty verdict.

Jean’s mother threw up both arms in the air upon hearing the verdict, and another woman started to shout in praise, but was quickly chastised by the bailiff, CNN reported.

Multiple members of Jean’s family cried happy tears and hugged prosecutors, while Guyger’s mother broke down crying.

People in the hallway were heard clapping and cheering loudly amid shouts of “Guilty Guilty!” and “Black lives matter.”

The basic facts of the unusual shooting weren’t in dispute throughout the trial.

Guyger, a four-year veteran with the Dallas Police Department, was off duty but still in uniform when she she walked up to Jean’s apartment—which was on the fourth floor, directly above hers on the third—and found the door unlocked.

Guyger told investigators she had worked a 13.5 hour shift and accidentally parked on the fourth floor of the apartment building’s garage, rather than the third floor where she lived, leading her to believe that Jean’s apartment was her own.

Jean—who grew up in the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia and came to the U.S. for college and to start his career as an accountant—was watching TV and eating a bowl of ice cream on the couch prior to Guyger entering his apartment, and was understandably startled when a complete stranger walked into his home with a gun pointed at him.

His shooting drew widespread national attention due to the strange circumstances and because it was amid a string of shootings of unarmed black men by white police officers.

Guyger was arrested three days after the fatal shooting, and was later fired and charged with murder after initially being charged with manslaughter.

Her first time speaking publicly about the killing was when she took the witness stand last Friday (Sep. 27).

While on the stand, Guyger tearfully apologized for shooting and killing Jean said she “never wanted to take an innocent person’s life.” She added: “I’m so sorry. This is not about hate — it’s about being scared.”

She said she feared for her life upon finding the door to what she believed was her apartment unlocked.

In a frantic 911 call that was repeatedly played throughout the trial, Guyger could be heard telling the operator “I thought it was my apartment” over and over.

While her attorneys argued that the units in the apartment complex were identical and frequently led to tenants going to the wrong apartments, prosecutors questioned how Guyger could’ve missed the numerous signs that she was in the wrong place, suggesting that she was distracted because she was sexting her police partner.

Prosecutors also asked why Guyger didn’t radio in for help when she thought an intruder was in her home. They also pointed out that since Guyger was still in full uniform, she had a number of non-lethal items attached to her service belt that she could have used, including a stun gun and pepper spray.

Guyger, however, said that going through the door with her pistol drawn “was the only option that went through my head.”

Too Short is a First-Time Dad at Age 53! Rapper Welcomed Daughter With Girlfriend Sue Ivey Last Year

It may have taken a few decades, but it looks like Too Short has put his player ways behind him and has become a family man. The rapper has reportedly become a father for the first time at 53 years old.

Sources tell TMZ Too Short welcomed a baby girl with his off-and-on girlfriend, Sue Ivey. The little girl’s name is Yanni Shaw and is his first child.

But here’s the thing: Too Short has kept Baby Yanni a secret for a while. TMZ reports Sue gave birth to the baby girl back in December.

Too Short is about to officially introduce his daughter to his fans, though. The proud father is currently shooting a documentary with Ray J and his manager, David Weintraub, about raising their daughters in Hollywood.

Too Short has built an entire career out of his pimpin’ lifestyle, his last album even being titled The Pimp Tape. So, fans were a little stunned to learn that he was just now having his first kid, a daughter, no less.

Many congratulations to the rapper. We’ll all have to see how (or if) fatherhood affects his future music.
